The haps

Eggs n' veggies. Drunken noodles. BOOM. Night time drivin'.

Recently I was introduced to the term, "hate read" and I had no freaking clue what it meant. Apparently it's when you continue to read someone's blog who you actually can't stand. What the hell?? Why?  But then it happened to me. I used to enjoy a certain blog and then after a while, something changed. Everything this person blogged about annoyed me, I always was tempted to comment on what a hypocrite they were being or how mean/bitchy/ridiculous they sounded. Posts full of negativity and I kept coming back to read! I was being sucked into their black hole of annoying, bitchy, negative Nancy-ness. I was hate-reading! Got it. I understand how that happens now. For the record, I have stopped that nonsense. Anyway, here's what's happening over on this side of the screen...

  • I came down with the worst flu/stomach bug on the planet. I was writing up my will and ready to to see the light.
  • Cissy Houston on Oprah's Next Chapter is so uncomfortable to watch. Cissy seems... difficult.
  • I painted my nails and when I was done I realized the color is less than flattering on my skin tone. Why do I even own this color?! I'm still wearing it though and will until it starts to look worn.
  • I'm still dealing with a horrible cough and congestion. Gaaaa-ross.
  • Lately everyone around me is getting into knitting/crocheting and it's making me want to jump on the bandwagon.
  • I did jump on the Vine bandwagon and I must say, while I enjoy the people who get creative with making videos, it's not really my jam. It's like that cinemagram app; pass.
  • We got a TOMS giftcard for Christmas and I've yet to use it. I think today will be the day!
  • Speaking of shopping, I bought the cutest knot ring on Etsy and I can't wait to get it!
  • Also bought wind shield wipers for my car and I feel so great about it, haha! It's the little things.
Happy Hearts,

Alex

    1. It intimidates me! I'm totally one of those crazies who doesn't like to "practice" something. I want to be good at it my first try, and if I'm not, I tend to get super impatient and mad at myself. A couple of my friends claim it's super therapeutic and calms them, but I have hard time believing that, haha. Maybe just maybe though I'll try it out! :)
