New Smyrna Beach.

I spent Easter Weekend in New Smyrna Beach. It's always nice to have some fun in the sun with people you love. It was definitely renewing. As a trip to the ocean always is. Here's some pictures I've yet to share from the trip. Happy Monday. :) Here's to a good week ahead!

Hello, my friend, I see you're back again.

Magic Kingdom escape. First time at Which Wich! I really did walk out of Target with ONE item. Florida lovin'.

Had a moment where I enjoyed blowing out my hair and leaving it straight.

Then decided my hair would constantly be braided because I'm lazy. Also, note the fake smile. And I convinced myself my eyes are crooked. 

Cartoon-me! This was all in fun, but when people saw it, they really thought it looked like me. I should note that while, the two previous pictures are sans glasses, 99% of the time I'm wearing my glasses. Especially since I'm out of contacts.

Hello, Tuesday!

 

                                                                       Jury Duty.

I will admit to dreading it. I thought of every single possible way to get out of doing it. I couldn't bring myself to lie, so I trotted in yesterday morning at 8am with anxiety I'm sure you could see all over me. But guess what? It was a breeze!

We all watched a little orientation video and immediately after the first group was randomly selected to go upstairs to panel (to be possible jurors in a case). I was so thankful I wasn't called. Not even five minutes later a second group had been randomly selected. My number was called. Damnit. I was so nervous walking into that court room. What if this case was something very, very serious. What if they wanted me as a juror?? And I hate to admit it, but what if I was going to have to sit and do this until late into the evening? I was bored and sleepy. I wanted to go home.

After being questioned by both sides, a few others and myself were not selected to sit on the jury. We headed back down stairs and it was already time for lunch. I got back from lunch and sat and read for maybe thirty to forty five minutes and we were dismissed by 2pm.

If I were ever summonsed again, I definitely wouldn't panic. It was so simple and everyone I encountered that day was super nice.
