Sunday Funday//Insta Edition

This week has been go, go, go. When I wasn't working, I was doing something with friends and/or family. It's been a while since I've been a social butterfly. I've mentioned before that I go through phases. I'll go out every weekend, always have stuff planned, etc. Then I'll have a "homebody" phase and I don't want to really go out or do much.

Here's my week on Instagram...

Absolutely annoyed and bored out of mind during a work Webinar about our health insurance and it's many changes. Ugh!
End of the World peach champagne. Followed by dancing and breakfast.
Leaving sweet Baby Mateo some holiday cheer.
Olive has had enough. She's out!
Ana made us some AMAZING veggie chili from scratch. Five grain bread with olive oil and herbs and peach tea. Yes, please!!
"When human rights are under attack, what do you do?" "STAND UP,  FIGHT BACK!"
Jobs with Justice holiday art fundraiser.

Attempting to take pictures at an Art Show in the dark. Impossible!

This week is a wrap! Now to put together some last minute gifts and get ready for ol' Saint Nick.

Happy Hearts,

Alex

Sunday funday + Saturday confessional?!

This morning will be spend with pancakes, cinnamon rolls, cheesy eggs, bacon and mimosas. We've dubbed it "Winter Wonderland" here in our little living room. My room mate Ashley and close friend, Jackie are having a mini ladies' brunch all while decorating the apartment. I anticipate it will look like Christmas threw up, and that's alright by me. Anything to get me into the Holiday spirit.

Before everything happened, Jackie and I had pretty much planned something every weekend in December to get us into the spirit and have fun. But now I feel like a big sad ball energy, and I hate that. I've decided I'd still like to decorate, go ice skating and drink hot cocoa, watch Christmas movies, dance to Christmas music, and go find holiday cheer at Disney World every moment I can. ;) It's been two weeks since I've done a confessional so here it goes:

  • I can get mad as hell and write someone off, but be ready to be friends again and have fun ten minutes later. Crazy?
  •  These days, you'll rarely find me in jeans. I'm usually in a dress/skirt with tights.
  • I sleep with a ceiling fan and another fan blowing directly on me. Weirdo.
  • I constantly buy yogurt and granola. And I am constantly reminded how much I hate it.
  • Speaking of, I'm somewhat of a textured eater. Bananas make me gag. Ew, I just got the chills thinking about it.
  • I love to be organized. I'm constantly buying storage containers, tupperware, wicker baskets, etc.
  • I like to look at watches and drool over them, but I never wear one. Like, ever.
  • When I'm upset I tend to clean and get very OCD to keep me busy
  • I am a Starbucks gold card member.
  • I am a quarter Native American and I'm on the hunt to find out more.

Alex

Sunday Funday!

"I don't know how I feel about this!" I do love me some purple (I mean, it is in my hair), but I wasn't sure about purple lips. Hence my deer in headlights look. I saw a girl on my Facebook rock it and I fell in love. But I wasn't sure if I could. None of the boys (minus one) liked it. The girls wanted it though and asked where to get it. I don't know!

I was kind of unsure if I wanted to venture out last night. Our Halloween celebration was last weekend, and I wasn't in the mood to dress up. It was the perfect opportunity to slap on the purp lips and head out the door.

We drank, danced and had lots of laughs. Apparently it's a "thing" now to not wear pants. Basically boy-short undies are all you need. I saw girls' asses left and right. We saw slutty fire women, slutty devils, slutty bumble bees, oh and slutty sluts. Don't get me started on how silly I think being a "sexy" anything is. Be original and creative, girls.

The original room mate who moved to NYC in August is in town and comes in today! I can't wait. I've already promised her that we'll watch Walking Dead together. I can't wait! I also can't wait to see her face and hang out with her like old times.

Now? Oh, now it's time for Hocus Pocus on this lazy Sunday.

Happy Hearts,
Alex
