Looks like I got so distracted this week with everything that I kind of forgot/didn't feel like posting anything around here. I even forgot about Saturday Confessional. Whoops.
This side of the screen has been lots of Thanksgiving goodness, Black Friday madness, and catching up on sleep and leftovers. Today I'm back to the grind with working though. We have a pretty little festival to attend in a quaint little town that's adorable. I'm going to try to remember to take some pictures.
Here's another ten Saturday Confessionals/Facts (I'm going to try to get to 100).
- I love Black Friday madness. I like a good deal, being up late at night, and pumped with everyone else in line. I don't condone fights, attitude and disrespect. I'm in it all for the fun.
- I think it's a huge turn off when a girl (or guy for that matter) has bitten down her nails, has uneven nails, or just rough looking hands all together. Nail clippers/a file and some lotion never hurt nobody. ;)
- So, because I'm warming up to the idea of marriage, I started casually looking at rings, and I think it's safe to say I'm not big into bling. I like simple. I mean, I think I could be proposed to with a twisty tie and I'd be just as happy.
- I prefer to sleep on the right side of the bed.
- I could probably eat pasta salad as a meal every day until I die and I'd be in heaven.
- I'm half Mexican (Mom) and my Dad was some mix of Native American and what I ever-so-lovingly refer to as Redneck. No, I don't speak spanish. Yes, I grew up in a latino household. Go ahead and judge me. I'm used to it.
- Saw a lady in the line at Target on Thursday wearing a track suit. My first thought: "Embarrassing". Sorry.
- I'm pretty sure I have a semi-lazy eye. People tell me no, but I think they're being kind.
- I have a pretty bad and embarrassing habit of "recycling" boys. I should learn that once I kick them to the curb, I need to leave them there!
- I'm agnostic, but I love Christmas music. Go figure. ;)
Full Bellies and Happy Hearts,
Alex
Giiiirl. I'm with you on the Hispanic but not being able to speak Spanish thing. I can understand a lot, but I seriously start stuttering when I try to speak it. There's a mental block there that I just can't overcome.
ReplyDeleteYES! When I was little I understood it, but for some reason, my grandparents didn't feel like they needed to have bilingual children/grandchildren. I think other hispanics judge me the most. But whatevs. I can't undo it! I suppose I could make more of an effort. Ha.
DeleteMy grandma died when I was in 7th grade and that was the end of my speaking-spanish-everyday life. :/
DeleteNice post! I really like your blog!
