I posted this picture earlier on Instagram for Throwback Thursday. It was taken probably in 2008/2009-ish by my darling friend, Cassie. It reminded me of those days that we worked at the Lighthouse in Ponce Inlet. We'd get out of work and take in the sunsetting on the river or enjoy the sounds of the ocean. Walking down the quiet beach town roads taking in all the scenery around us while chatting about life.
Later on we both moved to the same town about an hour away and would carpool to our college and to the Lighthouse if we worked the same shift. Cassie eventually moved back to her home state to finish school and now resides in California with her boyfriend.
Just one little picture had hundreds of memories rushing to me. I got so nostalgic! It made me think of a bunch of different memories from when I was younger. I'm sure this happens to everyone. It made me a little anxious realizing just how old I am (sometimes I feel like I'm still that awkward 16 year old girl). How I'm getting older and soon all of this will just be a memory too. Which is why I think I make it such a point to really "stop and smell the roses"; take in every moment and be present.
Christmas is right around the corner and while I planned on not procrastinating, I failed once again! This weekend I'm going to attempt shop with my list in my hand and get everyone's gifts. I refuse to get distracted with things I see that I would like for myself (I am guilty of buying work clothes like no other) or the house. Christmas, Christmas, Christmas!
Let's end this on a super fun and exciting note - Ellie Goulding will be here gracing my precious ears in a little more then ONE MONTH! AHHHH.
